DIY Play kitchen

I was looking at play kitchens online today, planning for Keira's 2nd birthday present, when I came across this amazing blog entry:

https://mirandawalker.blogspot.com/2010/02/play-kitchen-diy.html

I can't believe this woman and her husband made this beautiful play kitchen themselves for about $30.  <sigh>  Man, I wish I was talented like this.

Re: DIY Play kitchen

  • It looks great, but I wouldn't have the time for it even if I had the talent (which I don't). I'll be spending the $$$ instead. Big Smile

  • Kristel, that is complete awesomeness! I absolutely love her creativity and her practical repurposing!

BTW, I love the pic of sweet, precious K! She's just adorable!

  • That is awesome, but I would have never looked at an old TV stand and said, "Play kitchen!"  Nope.  I don't have the vision.

LOL, thanks Richelle.  And thanks Jen, for the compliment about K.  :-)

Yeah, I'm with you guys though, I don't have the vision or the time (in addition to my complete lack of artistic and craft-making abilities).  I'm going to have to shell out some cash, but not *too* much.  There will be no $600 sets from Land of Nod or Pottery Barn Kids crossing the threshold of the R family house!  It's amazing how much people will spend on children's toys.  Tongue Tied
