Wanted to say hi to all the 1st tri peeps. Got my BFP last week I'm so happy I could scream! It is going to be really hard not telling people...how did you all get through it!?

congrats! I just got my BFP today. I agree that it is extremely hard not to tell, but it's definitely worth it to keep the secret for at least a little while.  It helps to tell 1 or 2 people and just talk about it with them!

It's been pretty easy for me to keep it a secret. DH...not so much. We finally plan to make "the big announcement" this weekend when we're crossing over 2nd tri.

We weren't able to keep it in    We were just too excited and told our family at a bbq last saturday at 5 wks.

Hey everyone! This is my first post here!

We just got our BFP on Saturday and DH couldn't wait to tell our families, so we went ahead & told them. Someone in the family let it slip though because my DH's dad was being called grandpa @ work yesterday morning. I would have liked to keep it a secret until after the first tri, but DH couldn't keep a secret if his life depended on it!

Congrats and welcome!!  I didn't have to get through it... he told pretty much every person we came into contact with the day we had our blood test confirmation.

i looked forward to each new week marker, got apps on my phone to follow the baby's growth, etc....it kept my mind distracted from not telling anyone. haha. it felt like it was going to be forever until i could tell people, but now i am over 10 wks and have one week until i am telling all....right after my 12 week appt.

it'll pass quickly. even though it seems hard to believe. haha.
