My BFF is driving me nutso.  She agreed to tell me what she's naming her soon-to-be-son, but she's making me guess.

It's a seven letter boy name that begins with an R.  The nickname has 5 letters.

Rodrigo. That one's on our list, but honestly, unless your friend is Hispanic, I doubt that's it. And it doesn't have a 5-letter nickname.
