Do any of you use a CD service? Or have used one. Im looking into maybe doing CD but i live in a apartment and its a pain in the but to ever find a open washer. Is it still economical to use CD with a service as apposed to DD?
We used a service for the first 6 months of DD's life. It came out to being comparable pricewise to using disposables. We then switched to doing laundry ourselves and I kicked myself for waiting so long because it was so easy.
We are doing a "service", but we are only renting with doing laundry ourselves. Are you going to rent + have themclean or are you able to just have them clean your stash? I think most of the economy comes though from you washing. I have heard of people stretching to 3 days, so you could try to do that. Would you be able to do that?

We plan on using a service for the beginning, and the one we'll use [TideeDidee] charges by how many you order to be dropped off. Not how many you actually use. So, after a few months, I'm thinking we'll just get fewer and send them the poopy ones while I wash our own pee dipes at home.
It's not very economical for me to do all the washing [and buying all the diapers] because we live in an apartment building with a coin-op laundry. It'd be different if we had our own washer and dryer, though.
I would be renting. The place closest to my home is called tiny tots they charge by how many we rent by the week. All i would need to buy are the covers. We rent an apartment and i might be able to wash every three days but its hard to find a washer available sometimes and its expensive to wash here as apposed to the laudry places.
So, after a few months, I'm thinking we'll just get fewer and send them the poopy ones while I wash our own pee dipes at home.
Thats not a bad idea. i could start buying some here and there and rent the rest. I actually went in today to look at the place were the service was offered and was plaesed with everything they had. They also had a compostable disposible diaper that they deliver with or without the cloth diaper. I might do that aswell.
I use a service, but they charge $20/week, no matter how many you get. I'm buying some to wash at home to save money and so DS doesn't feel the wetness as much (he HATES being wet and fusses as soon as he pees), but I've loved my service.
