Benevolent (boy) - thank God they are calling him Ben for short!

Parish (girl) - sounds like you are trying to say Paris with a lisp. *Shudder*

I can totally see DH's cousin using Benevolent!!  They are pregnant with their 5th child and the other children are Timothy Courage, Eli Steadfast, Cora Faith and Calvin Diligent.  Benevolent seems like the missing virtue for them.

I've known a Parish before. I didn't get it then, and I don't get it now. And Benevolent? Not a fan.

Before I read your thread I thought this was going to be a sibling set!

I met a man once named Parish and kind of liked it. I can't see it for a girl, though and, on a girl, I can definitely see it being mistaken for Paris (with a lisp: ).

Benevolent, on the other hand, is rather frightening. That's a virtue name gone wrong.

IMO all virtue names have gone wrong, but Benevolent is by far the worst yet.
