Ice Cream at 6 months?!?

One of my "friends" on FB just uploaded a video of their 6 month old DD eating an entire ice cream, waffle cone and all. I don't mean baby size either like a huge ice cream cone. Everyone is commenting how cute it is. I am here looking at it flabbergasted... 

Why on earth would you give a baby ice cream??? If she was closer to 1 year maybe but she just turned 6 months old and she is a BF baby. Literally one of her first foods was ice cream.  

Am I crazy to be disturbed by this??

I've given C a few licks of ice cream, but that is ridiculous. And I'm sure all that dairy/sugar was not good for her belly

I have no sympathy for the parents, but I do feel sorry for LO because that has to be rough on the tummy!

One of my cousins gave his 6 month old an ice cream sandwhich and a drumstick (the ice cream kind) on the same day, within a few hours of each other. The kid ate most of both of them. He was not feeling well later in the night.

Well, DD has gotten tastes of DH's ice cream cone a few different times, but she's never had her own or more than 2 licks on a couple of different days.
