I have probably a dozen Nubunz diapers from their website (they are also on Ebay). They were cheap ($8) and had a variety of colors, so I gave them a try and bought 6. They looked wonderful when I first received them. They were trim, appeared well made, and were soooo cute. I proceeded to buy about another half dozen after a week or two of use. Big mistake. My seconds ($3) from Nubunz all delaminated. Fine, whatever, there was a 30% chance of this happening that I knew about from the website. Then I noticed two of my non-seconds colors delaminating too. They still work, but I did contact the company about this. They promptly sent me replacements, which was a plus. By the time this happened, my other order had arrived. The seconds are crap by now and a few are already delaminating that are not seconds. The inside of the diapers are pilled and no longer soft. The stitching on one diaper is unraveling. The laundry tabs don't work (hello, diaper chain!), and the velcro is already curling and turning to crap. I am very disappointed as I loved these at first. I bought 5 seconds bumGenius and wish that I would have gone with them from the beginning.
I also have about 8 Kawaii diapers, which seem to be a much better quality. They just are more bulky, so I have not used them as much.
I have only used these diapers for about 2 months. Lesson Learned.
Re: My 2cents on Ebay type diapers.
I need to now add after just having finished stuffing my CD laundry that I discovered another one-the elastic on the leg of one diaper is completely shot so that one side is twice as long as the other side.
I am tempted to email this lady about how I feel about her crap diapers and how I am not going to bother returning them to get repaired.
I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better, I've been using Kawaii Baby diapers for months, and LOVE them. No issues whatsoever.
