we had our first appt. with the ob/gyn on tuesday and found out we are 5 weeks pregnant. i went back in yesterday to have more blood drawn to make sure my hormone levels were doubling as they were supposed to. the nurse called me this morning and said that my progesterone on tuesday was 13.6 and yesterday it was 14. it's supposed to be at 20. so while it's increasing, it's not where it needs to be, so they are prescribing prgesterone suppositories. has anyone else had this happen? she said it isn't anything to be too worried about, as they call in prescriptions for them fairly often, but being my first pregnancy and scared to death of miscarriage, it makes me just a little uneasy. i just wanted to know if anyone else has had to use them and if things turned out okay. :-)
Re: low progesterone level
Progesterone Suppositories are not all that uncommon. They aren't super fun, but they help.
I was on them since trigger, and just stopped taking them this week.
Women on progesterone supplements are very common. Just be glad there is a solution for low progesterone. Hope it helps you!
My progesterone came back at 9.7, which is at the bottom of "normal" so I am on the suppositories. Not fun, but I will do whatever it takes to grow this baby.
It is pretty common to have low progesterone, so try not to worry.
