My doctor/midwife said that they do not induce women on lovenox. They switch to heparin at 36 weeks and will allow normal labor. I don't want to be induced, in fact last time I took castor oil in order to not have to be induced. It worked.
But the only other person I know IRL who took lovenox was induced at 38 (or 39, i don't remember).
The peri that I saw earlier in the week said that he doesn't induce unless you don't have the baby before 39 weeks. That is a whole other week you could have natural labor.
Anyway, just looking for a consesus. I know the heparin can be reversed, but I also want the safest delivery after everything from last time.
TIA.
Re: Lovenox Ladies, How many Dr's induce?
My Chart My Nest Bio
I will switch to heparin at 36 weeks and be induced at 39 1/2 weeks if I haven't gone into labor on my own. I have a history of clotting and my dr doesn't want to take any risks!
I guess I'm not too worried, though. I had dd 6 weeks early and I'm assuming I'll go into labor sooner rather than later with this one, too.
