Has anyone seen that the Dove chocolates have messages on the inside of the wrappers?
I've been in a pity-party mode today so I bought a bag of them at CVS. I just unwrapped it and saw a message saying "When you can't control the wind, adjust your sails!" I feel like it is speaking to me since I cannot control what my body is doing/not doing lately. I kind of want to eat more just so I can see what the others say ![]()
It's a great marketing ploy since women tend to eat chocolate/candy when they are depressed. What better way to make a depressed woman feel better than a piece of candy & a nice message !
Re: Dove's inspirational messages
I have 3 pinned on my cubicle wall:
Silence might be golden, but laughter is priceless.
Never stop learning.
Instead of complaining - try to find a solution.
I didn't even see that the message was there and totally ripped the wrapper. I'm holding myself back from eating more (to find another one with the same message) so I can tack it up as well.

It is most definitely a marketing ploy!! I also had one on my cubicle wall until a few months ago- It said "Smile-they will think you are up to something" LOL It's not really inspirational, but it always made me laugh
