When to shop...

for maternity clothes?!

It's almost fall in GA and the summer stuff will be going on sale... I'm due in May, so I will need some spring/summer for full term size. Should I get some while it's on sale now? Or should I wait? Also, should I even buy long sleeve maternity clothes? The office where I work keeps things WARM all day long during the winter... I'm going to be sweating all day. I layer up already - and wear tee's around the office in December already. Any tips??

Re: When to shop...

  • What you wear now you'll wear when you're pregnant.  You know the weather there better than the rest of us so I say stock up on the summer items you think you'll need.  Better to get them on sale!

  • Sounds like you'll be wearing short sleeve stuff all year and will need the spring summer stuff toward the end. Most maternity stores can help you figure out sizing. I'd stock up on the short sleeved shirts for work though and hit up marshals or somewhere for some cheap longer cardigans that are in style now and cheap there to wear over your short sleeved shirts.
  • If you're looking for stuff to last just the last few weeks of pregnancy I'd suggest buying a size up.  You get BIG and by the end nothing seems to fit!!!

I did this b/c some one suggested it too me and i have clothes I've never worn b/c they never fit me they were always too big. I really wish I would have waited to see if i would need a size up and bought it later in my pg.
