I just bought the cheapest ones and they were always accurate for me, both when it was positive and negative.  Keep in mind the well-known brands are just more expensive because of advertising.  It's the same test.

I used an ept and clear blue digital.

I used Internet cheapies and Dollar store tests. Both accurate.

I like the dollar store ones, but I also like the Answers strips (there's like a pack of 5 in a box).  I specifically like those because I liked being able to clearly compare them side by side...

I used first response 6 times because I wasn't 100% trusting the faint second line I kept getting.  Someone here recommended I pick up a digital for peace of mind (I got clear blue easy I think) and they were sooo right.  It felt so good to see the word pregnant and not have to worry about lines!!

Wondfo brand internet cheapies are my fave and were more sensitive than a FRER.
