ahhh so excited the hubby and I got pregnant on our first try!!! but I can't help myself from thinking its too good to be true
First appt is a week from this friday. I had a little cramping two weeks ago spoke to the doc was told it is normal. No bleeding or anything to really be concerned about but not a lot of symptoms either. Breasts aren't sore (though i swear they are getting bigger!) little to no nausea but definitely tired, very tired. I'm sure everything is fine but I'm just a chronic worrier. I really hope everything goes well and our little one is growing and healthy. Pray for us please!
Re: Nervous New Mom
Good luck!
If it makes you feel better, I haven't had any symptoms yet either...other than some pings here and there in my tummy. Every pregnancy is different!
I think a lot of us are nervous new moms--comes with the territory, especially if it's your first pregnancy.
I know I'm only 5w3d and so far, my only symptoms have been a missed period, some tenderness in my boobs, and the fact I am really, really tired (which considering is the busiest time of the year at my job isn't all that surprising).
Just today, I found myself kind of saying to H it didn't seem very real because it didn't seem much was happening...but he just kept saying, "It's early. Just because you don't feel anything doesn't mean stuff isn't happening."
It's a good thing he's rational and sane because me? I worry about everything. All the time. It's not good.
I'm pretty sure we're all in the same boat
(And to be honest, after hearing some of the stories from friends and reading posts on this board, maybe it's not a good thing to be rushing symptoms. I hear some of them are a b*tch when they show up. So if I can postpone those a while, I think I'm okay).
Congratulations!!!! I did have a lot of symptoms until about 5.5 weeks and it hit bad a little after 6 weeks. I now have to take zofran to function at work! It takes time for the hormones to build up and then you will probably be among those of us counting the days until the nausea ends! Or you could be very very lucky! (I am currently 10 weeks)
Good luck at your first appointment!
That is too funny b/c your hubby sounds exactly like mine! He is def the rational one here too.
But I think the little bean heard me yesterday saying I didnt have many symptoms yet cause I got pretty nauseous at work today. Definitely still very tired too, but it is all worth it! Only a week left until we hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time!!
Thanks for all the support ladies
