Woo hoo...I did it!!

Thanks to all of you ladies who gave me the confidence to do my own PIO shots!! Last night was my 1st one that I had to do & my RE suggested I do it in my thigh & it really wasn't that bad. I used all of your suggestions & combined them into 1 on how to do the easiest & least painful. I heated up my neck wrap & put the needle in it while the ice was numbing my leg for about 15 minutes, did the shot, massaged it & then put heat on it for about 15 minutes. The shot itself was not bad AT ALL!! I was terrified going into it but I thought of all of you & it helped me put my big girl panties on & do it!! My thigh is a little sore today but not bad. Thanks again!!!

    Great news!  I wish my RE would let me do the IMs in my thigh so I could do them myself.  She is insistent that I do them in hip/butt area.

    My RE knew that there was NO way my H would be able to give them to me & they said that they didn't want to risk a needle breaking off or anything like that. Maybe you could tell your RE that your H is getting too sqeemish (sp) to do them so you need to be able to do them your self. lol
