Just wanted to say hello to everyone and wish you all H&H 9 months. 8W 2D along with Baby #2 (2 1/2 yr old little boy already). We had our first U/S today- HB was 170 BPM, and everything looks good.
For those that are working, when did you tell your employer? I am in senior management, so my M/S and extreme fatigue is starting to get obvious, I'm afraid. With DS, I had to tell right off the bat because I had some complications that resulted in an U/S and blood work every other day until 12 weeks, but this time, I've been more fortunate other than the M/S.
Just wondering what everyone else is doing.
Thanks!
Re: New to the board- work question
I had complications at the beginning and was in and out of the dr. so my immediate boss new very early on.
I was also up for a new position that required a lot of travel so when I found out things were going good I went to HR and removed myself from the queue for that position as I did not want to commit to the travel due to complications.
I didn't tell anyone else until about 11 weeks. A few female co workers busted me puking in the bathroom and found out but kept it on the downlow for me. Men, (which are in my office) are pretty oblivious but one of them had guessed because I yelled at him over the smell of his lunch one day. LOL
I'm probably going to tell my boss next week after my second u/s, assuming it goes well. My last pg ended in m/c and it happened at work so I had to tell him why I disappeared (fortunately no one else knows) and he has kept a very close eye on me since. The two doctor's appointments and separate blood draw that I've gone to since I got pg again have worried him enough. It's not going to help that I have another one next week.
I probably won't tell HR until I'm a week or two into the second tri.
