Babies: 6 - 9 Months

1 more if you did Ferber question...

When you checked in on them at each interval, what did you do?  Lay them back down (my LO stands up when she cries in her crib now), pat their back, say something or whatever else?  Did you have any little ritual?

How long did you stay in there?

Thanks so much for sharing!

  • I would  Roll DD back over (but not pick her up) give her paci, hum to her until she stopped crying and then left as soon as she did

  • I would roll her over onto her back, give her the pacifier and whisper "It's going to be okay honey" and rub her belly. I didn't stay in there for more than a minute (I think that is what the book recommends). If she was crying for more than 20 minutes (2 intervals towards the end), I'd pick her up, calm her down, place her back in the crib and that seemed to work for the few times she did cry for more than 20 minutes.
