Has anyone heard of/have a friable cervix?

As you may or may not remember I have had some spotting for about a week now-I have an u/s this afternoon-and DH has been looking up possible causes and one of them is a friable cervix.  I was just wondering if anyone else has this, heard of it, etc and could offer some advice, what to expect, etc.  TIA

  • My bff had it when she was pregnant with her son.  I'll see if I can get her to chime in.

  • Thank you ladies, fortunately DH was wrong, I have a Subchorionic Hematoma instead. Not sure that is any better but at least now I know for sure what I have.

Robbie, I would still love to hear her thoughts and stories on it if she is willing to share, thanks!

She's actually ExpectantSteelerFan who responded.  I thought she'd told me it was a friable cervix, but I guess her Dr. never used that word, though a friable cervix is just another way of saying very sensitive cervix in my understanding.

  • I have both a sensitive cervix and a SCH. If I sneeze I may bleed lol. I just try to keep my wits and remember that I saw a healthy baby a week ago.
