Re: How was your weekend?

  • Fri: Kylie and I hung out ay my mom's until my aunt got in from AL. Then we went to see her great grandma (Ann's grandma) and I dropped Kylie off to Ann's mom so she could watch her Saturday while we both worked. That night we went to bed early...like right after dinner.

Sat: After work, I picked up Kylie and then Ann from work. Then we went to a family bbq at my mom's house. By the time we got home it was Kylie's bedtime. We stayed up to watch some tv movie.

Sun: Ann is a HUGE Packers fan so we went to bw3 to watch the game. At one point I went to change Kylie and there was a line for the table. I laughed and told her to get used to this there are always lines for the women's room. After the game, we came home and picked up some. We then had a dinner with Ann's family. Again by the time we got home it was Kylie's bedtime. We watched some DVR and went to bed.

  • We saw Anthony Bourdain on Saturday night.  He's awesome and even better in person!

Sunday, we played tourist in our own town and explored Coronado Island for a good portion of the day. Summer has finally arrived in SoCal so we're enjoying it while it lasts!

  • It was alright.  Great in some ways, really hard in others.  Fortunately, Sprout has been such a happy pleasant boy making all the rest more bearable.  Friday and Saturday evenings we saw family for Yom Kippur.  Saturday afternoon we went to an orchard and did hay rides, pony rides, and apple picking. Sunday was a great day with church (zero behavior issues - both kids were angels), playing outside, and a nice dinner out with friends.

  • We spent the weekend visiting DW's family. They hosted a shower for us on Saturday which was a lot of fun. We got home yesterday evening and watched some football and ate shower leftovers. The weekend went by way too quickly!

  • Fri: We had Part 1 of our home study in the morning, it went well.  In the afternoon we went searching for cowgirl boots for DD.

Sat: We had our First Aid/CPR class in the morning and then went to visit my Dad in the afternoon.  He finally admitted that he had a mild heart attack. Indifferent

Sun: We went to San Diego to visit my brother and pick up my Aunt.  DW decided she wanted to go to the beach while we were there and we ended up going down into Sunny Jim's cave.

  • Our weekend was really nice.  I had grand plans of making Kel dinner on Friday night, but was wiped by the time she got home.  We ended up making a new Thai recipe together and then going to bed early.

On Saturday we hit a neighborhood garage sale and got some clothes and books for Eli and then went to a 2 year old's birthday party.  There were probably 15 kids under 5 at the party--Eli was fascinated! Kel had plans with her high school friends that evening and Eli and I were asleep by 7 :)

On Sunday I mowed the lawn while Kel and the baby slept in and then we went over to her folks for the afternoon.  It was very low key and very nice. Sunday evening I went to a fundraiser and caught up with a lot of old friends.

All in all a great weekend.

  • First, C fibbed, ergo I am not writing from Europe...no lottery winnngs...no dream car...Sad

So, here is how things went:

Friday was an extremely rough day at work for me, so I got home a little later than I wanted. Sad to say, it took C so long to get home with the kids that they barely beat me home (she leaves 3 hours before me). We played with the kiddos a bit then it was baths and bedtime. (Someone at the daycare wears some awfully strong perfume). It took awhile to get them settled, so C and I did not eat supper (Buitoni ravioli) until 11p.

Saturday was a lazy day...we got up early with good intentions, but between playing with the kids, C pumping, and a couple of naps, the day got away from us. Thankfully, we ate a little earlier (Taco Bell ... LOL!)

Sunday...Church and shoppiing. There is a long story about the high chairs we bought, but I will let C tell that story...DS has started crying...

  • Friday night we had to go buy soccer gear for Gray.

Saturday we had Gray's first soccer game. If they had kept score, it would have been 0-15 or so. Our poor kids had no idea what to do! Went to good restaurant that has a cute store attached (found lots of holiday gift ideas!) The kids fell asleep in the car and didn't transfer to their beds which made me very sad since I really wanted a nap. The kids went to Parents Night Out at the gym and L and I went to PF Changs and to the mall to do some returns. We watched Date Night - which was funny and silly.

Sunday we went to church, Costco, and Famous Daves for lunch. Post nap we went to the library and to Target. When we got home, Carter went to get a juice box from the fridge in the garage and threw up IN the fridge. <img class=" title="Crying" /> He'd acted/eaten fine all day so we attributed it to car sickness...well, until he ate a pretzel and threw it up before bed. Needless to say, we couldn't send him to school today.

I stayed home with him and he has been BOUNCING off the walls and has no interest in resting. Oh well.

  • Pretty low-key. Jen didn't work this weekend, which was really nice. I don't want to jinx it by saying things are settling down for her at work, but she's less totally crazy. On Friday she worked somewhat late and brought Cuban food home for dinner and we just crashed on the couch. I think Lucky might have had another seizure on Friday while we were at work b/c she was acting really tired that night - but we'll never know.

Saturday the weather was gorgeous so I got up early and went for a run and enjoyed a lazy breakfast & coffee while Jen paid bills. We met friends for lunch in Georgetown and then the four of us went kayaking on the Potomac. Very relaxing. We'd paddle for a while, then hang our feet over the side of the kayak and just sit :)

Yesterday was all about getting stuff done, since we're going to be out of town the next two weekends and part of the weekend after that. Cleaning, laundry, lots of car research, car rental reservations for those weekends, money discussions (my faaaaaaaave) - I didn't leave the house all day. Boring. But it felt good to get stuff squared away. We have an appt tonight to meet our potential new dogsitter. I have high hopes. She's affordable  and sounds very relaxed & calm on the phone, which is what you need to be to deal w/ our very different little dogs :)

  • Our weekend was busy.

Friday we went out to dinner for E's homecoming day.  We went at 5 pm to a family italian place and it was us and the older crowd. E loves the elderly so that was good but she was a bit cranky so we had to eat fast.  We went home put her to bed and had cupcakes.  Poor girl didn't even get to taste them oh well next year.

Sat we were up early to head to nh.  We picked apples and then hung with the grandparents and my brother and sisters in law and niece and nephews.  It was fun but I was feeling like crap (I caught E's cold).  Sat night we crashed early.

Sunday S headed to the library in the am and I took E to target.  I came home fed E and we both took a nap.  My parents came over in the afternoon and S and I went to the grocery store and carters to pick up some things that we needed.  Then we watched the pats game until we couldn't take it anymore and had to change the channel.

  • maaaaaaan, I don't even remember. lots of stuff around the house. some sleeping. some eating. some more stuff around the house. a soccer game. a fire at our friends' house. some more eating. some errands. some more things around the house. it was a busy weekend and I'm exhausted!
  • Our weekend was fair, kind of dull. We saw family for Yom Kippur, LMC had ballet class and we did some things around the house. We had a few really big rough patches with you know who and I think that really took a lot out of DW and I. Hopefully this weekend will be more fun!

CT-Hooray for good behavior in church!
