Headaches

I have never had a headache this intense or this long before.  My head has been hurting for 3 hours (not long as some ladies on here, I don't know how you ladies do it) and I am going insane.  I took Tylenol about two hours ago.  And it hasn't gotten any better.  So I just popped half a Darvocet that I had left over from the c-section.

If this doesn't work, what else do you ladies do?

TIA.

  • I don't get headaches that often, but when I do they're usually real doozies. I use Aleve and I take 3 when I have a headache. I know the dosage is 2, but 2 never gets rid of bad headaches for me. Then I drink a bunch of water and try to take a nap. I know you have K so a nap may not be possible, but hopefully you can get some rest.

  • Excedrin is the best OTC remedy IMO coupled with sleep in a quiet dark room.
  • Sleep has helped me some (day 3 of my ongoing headache.)  I took Percocet last night which dulled my headache enough to allow me to sleep.  I'm taking one more tonight and I hope by morning this headache will be history!

On Thursday I drank a coke and took 2 Tylenol and that helped a tiny bit (along with a nap.)

I hope you feel better soon!  These things suck!

  • I miss Excedrin. IT's not recommended for nursing moms because it has asprin. I loved that stuff pre-pg

I totally forgot about the whole nursing thing.  I'm an idiot.  I do have to confess that I was so excited to take it for my first PP headache.

  • I didn't know that Excedrin wasn't allowed for nursing moms.  Good thing we didn't have any, I did look for it though.  I couldn't find any caffeine in my house...then my aunt gave me a peice of espresso dark chocolate and I took the rest of my darvocet and took a little nap.  I still had a headache when I woke up but I felt way better than I did before sleeping.  Thanks for the recs!
