I stupidly baked fish on one of my stoneware pans. Does anyone know how I can get the skin off without ruining it? I was thinking of putting it back in the oven at a really high temp, but didn't know if this would crack the pan.
I use baking soda to clean mine periodically, gets off of the baked-on grime. Not sure if you are supposed to, but it looks great and is not funky at all.

This was recommended to me by a consultant once. I use baking soda to clean mine sometimes too.
Re: Pampered Chef stoneware
Do you have the little scraper that came with it? That gets everything off of them usually.
It will crack if you put it in the oven at too high a temp. I've done it.
Call the pampered chef helpine. They have good people that have answers.
If not, call the lady you bought them from and she might have some tips. That's part of their training I thought.

I'm a PC consultant. You can use a little bit of baking soda and water and then try and use the scraper or a kitchen brush to get it off.
Don't put it in the oven on a very high temp- you'll crack the stoneware from temp shock. Also make sure you don't use soap on it either.
Have you tried letting it soak in water and then scraping it off?
