I am entered into a "Belly Bump" contest for a local radio station here and I need your votes to help me win a new nursery!!!

I know my "bump" is tiny so I am going to need all the help I can get

Not surprised.  I'm really tempted to go and vote for someone else just to spite her, but it's not worth signing myself up for the junk mail....

wow, the sorry attitudes on these boards never ceases to amaze me.  So what she's never posted before, she'll probably never post again, but if taking 10 seconds out of my life MIGHT help someone who needs it, then I'll take the time out and help them.  Christ almighty I get the feeling that you women wouldn't pee on someone to put a fire out if they hadn't posted enough!

You're entitled to your opinion. 

I care very passionately about my friends.  But I don't give two shiits about helping someone I've never met win a freaking radio contest.  I would feel the same way about someone standing on a street corner trying to get me to help them win a contest.

Because peeing on someone to put a fire out and voting for a stranger to win a radio contest are roughly the same thing.

Asking perfect strangers to vote on your baby bump is just plain stupid.  Would you stop people on the street and tell them to vote for you?  Probably not, so why is this any different?

I guess you *could* always start a phone tree or maybe put up a billboard.  I mean, if you're going to AW yourself to perfect strangers, might as well get to as many as you can.

as long as you're not a jackass, post count is irrelevant. 

asking a bunch of randoms to vote for her baby bump = jackass. Never goes over well.

Thank you.   I appreciate the help... and the kind attitude. I wish more people were like you.

 

And wanna know what's funny??  I "stalk" this board, I read what is posted, but I don't post here because of how awful the women are.  Thanks for those that did vote for me.  And to those who would rather make rude comments, I am sorry you feel that way.  It seemed like asking other mommies, in the same situation as myself, for 2 minutes of there day wasn't a lot to ask.... but I guess to some, it was.

I have to be honest, you should be embarrassed for entering yourself into  a bump contest when you have no bump.

Why should I be embarassed?  I have a bump, but I am still early in pregnancy so it's small.... I am pregnant like everyone else in the contest.
