We are having penne pasta with homemade pesto and garden tomatoes!
Stopped BCPs December 2008
TTC since June 2009
6 unsuccessful Clomid cycles
Dx Annovulatory due to PCOS January 2010
DH-perfect
4 unsuccessful IUIs
Began Lupron July 7 for first IVF
IVF cancelled; overstimulation and coasting lead to huge drop in E2
New testing with an Endocrinologist...perhaps a new diagnosis...
So, not PCOS but Hashimoto's Thyroiditis November 2010
After a looong break, started seeing a new RE. Gearing up for IVF 1.2.
Beta 1=197!!
DH had to work late tonight, so I'm on my own. I don't feel like cooking anything, so I think I might mix up some tuna and make little boats out of a cucumber and put the tuna in it. Still doing the lower carb thing....so this might work. I hope!
we're going out to a new burger bar down the street... i've never had stuffed sweet and sour cabbage, what is it?? like pigs in the blanket, cabbage stuffed with meat etc?
Well I was going to have baked potatoes topped with turkey chili but not I am not allowed to have any white carbs so I am not sure...I might still have it and start new diet tomorrow after a trip to Whole Foods.

SAIF/PAIF Welcome
Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.

kind of. it's ground beef that is mixed with an egg, some uncooked rice and onion. then you blanch the cabbage leaves to get them pliable and roll the beef mixture into the leaves. then it's all topped with a sweet and sour tomato sauce and simmered on the stove for an hour. it's my grandmother's recipe and it's comfort food for me!

My mom used to make this! I would eat the "insides" but I never at the cabbage. I didn't (and still don't) like cabbage. I'd completely forgotten about that meal...
I am having weird leftover chicken, that the host of my book club forced on me.
i LOVE cabbage. my whole life i've loved it (story goes my grandma would be eating it when i was a baby and i would stare at her and then start crying until she gave me some). i could eat a big bowl of it steamed with just salt and butter and be sooo happy

i've never had pierogies but i've wanted to try them for a long time! i've just never been in a place to have them (other than the frozen food aisle, and i want my first pierogie to be more authentic than that). sounds like a heavy, but delicious, meal where is a good place to get them in the city or brooklyn (i'm guessing you'll say greenpoint...)

Okay yeah, that's kind of what I thought it was! We used to have that too, I think. I'm not sure if ours had a sweet and sour sauce over top of it though, I think it did not. Whatever the similar dish is that we used to have, it was good! My mom made us a lot of Polish foods as kids... although we are Italian and Irish! I think my Grandma's bff was Polish and taught her some good recipes, which got passed down to my mom.

Well..yes to Greenpoint lol. BUT, id rec Veselka in the East Village. It is very authentic and cute. It's Ukrainian, but the pierogies are the same and AWESOME.
Also it has a great location if you want to go out for drinks, or to a winebar, post pierogies!

We are having (deli) ham and over easy egg sandwiches and hashbrowns.
We were going to have that on Monday but I started to feel sick so DH made me homemade chicken noodle soup instead
