I went this morning. Was sent for a dating ultrasound at approx. 6 weeks. Had both vaginal & abdominal. Tech thinks it is not big enough for six weeks then started talking about miscarriage.
I feel sick.

I'm sorry to hear this - you're still early.. has the actual doctor spoken to you or was this just the tech talking. I hear stories of Techs saying what they think and scaring the crap out of people for it turns out, no reason. (including to me once during my first pregnancy) I think they should keep their mouths shut. Good luck to you!

HUGS! Tech's shouldn't talk about things like that... they are not licensed to give that sort of information. Praying you had a really dumb tech!

Re: Dating Ultrasound
I should have also asked, how far along were you at that time?

Hang in there!
I had a vaginal u/s at 8.5 weeks.
Vaginal at 5w6d.
EDIT: I should say, my "dating" u/s was actually almost a week off. I measured 5w6d at that appt and 6 days later I measured 7w3d at another u/s.
I had both an abdominal and transvaginal at 8 weeks - but they could only date it when doing transvaginally b/c they got a better picture.
I had an abdominal at 9 weeks and another one at 10 weeks and they could measure and date it at that time abdominally.
FYI, I've had 3 different due dates so we're picking the one in the middle.
Vaginal at 6 weeks, abdominal at 10.
But the abdonimal u/s was just to check the hb. She quickly found the baby and hb, but didn't try to measure it or anything.
