I was checking pinstripesandpolkadots.com and they have some covers in their 5-and-10 sale section. Do these work? Has anyone tried them?

I don't think, judging by the description, that they have a PUL layer to them. I think they are just layers of fleece. Is this a good idea? Many moms have suggested I get a few different covers to try out so I am trying not to invest too much in covers that I don't know if I will use. (I think I am sold on the idea of thirsties duo covers at the moment). Any advice?

ABC Wraps are PUL covers. I've used them before and they work well.

The fleece covers are indeed just fleece. Pros to fleece (vs. PUL) are that fleece is much more breathable and oh-so-soft. A lot of people swear by fleece covers overnight! Cons are that it tends to be a little bulkier, and it's more prone to compression leaking. Also, if you wash it in hot water, it tends to get really pilly -- it doesn't affect function, just doesn't look as nice.

I hate our ABC covers.  They constantly leak out the tag.  From what people have told me this isn't a common issue though.

Those are just covers, though, not actual diapers. Covers would go over a fitted or prefold diaper.

ended up getting two of the fleece covers only 12 bucks with shipping and everything. I got them in two different sizes as well. And picked up a thristies duo wrap from ebay, and one from diaperswappers. One was $10 and one was $11. All the pics looked great so hopefully they will be good.

Now I just really need to start getting some prefolds.
