Coming over from IF...

Cautiously coming over here from IF but at the same time trying not to be afraid.  DH had some words of wisdom yesterday saying, that the pain of a loss will hurt the same whether I super excited about being pregnant or if I am cautious and guarded, so I might as well be excited.  I am going to try and follow those words.

Beta #2 came back yesterday at 524 (up from 64 from Beta #1 3 days earlier).  1st Ultrasound is scheduled for September 27!

    Congratulations! I think all of us have felt the same as you. I know that I still have minor freak outs, but with every u/s and week passing I start to relax more and more.

    Congrats!! The anxiety never really went away for me, but it does get better as the weeks go on. GL!

    Congratulations.  I agree with DH.  We have all been through so much, that we deserve to have some happiness and actually feel happy about it!

    Hope to see many more posts in the future!

    Yay!
    Husband has cystic fibrosis. I'm a carrier. We did TESE, IVF, ICSI, and PGD. After two failed IVFs, we were blessed with our twins.

    congrats!  My husband says the same thing when I telling him I am remaining guarded.  It's not like it will hurt less if I didn't enjoy the pg.  Good luck with your u/s.

    Congrats and welcome. that second beta sounds great! i was guarded until my 20 week US, and still haven't told everyone that I am expecting. but your DH is right,  being guarded doesn't really lessen the pain if something goes bad. IF sucks, I hope you are on this board for 9 lovely months!
    3 yrs ttc, 3ivfs, 4 iuis and finally a baby boy! And then a girl to follow. 2 under 2!

    Congrats! Those are great betas! Your DH sounds like a smart man. The anxiety doesn't really go away, it just become part of the norm and you find more ways to deal. Right now to kill time before my appointment on Thursday I am an online shopping fool! Wink
