Hi, I thought I would share an article which pretty much tells us what we hate to hear, "just relax," but a study of British women seems to show stress and fertility a have a causal relationship. If it's true, I think I'm doomed, pressure at work and stress of TTC can get to me and right during ovulation and 2ww, too!
Most intriguing in the article is that the egg may actually travel more slowly down the tube for implantation during stress.
Re: Stress & Fertility
You are right, its not what any one wants to hear but there is definitely some validity to it. Maybe not for everyone but if we are trying to many other pathways, why not also try to eliminate undue stress as well.
I'm actually in school studying holistic nutrition (just first two classes thus far.) We are focusing on "the biology of belief." Basically that our thoughts have immense control over our biochemistry. Positive thoughts create more favorable conditions and negative thoughts more likely lead to degeneration. The studies we are reviewing are in relation to eliminating cancer, tumors, fibromyalgia, not getting pregnant, but I have to wonder why it wouldnt work on getting pregnant too.
Sorry I hope that made sense. I just got out of a really exciting class. LOL Anyways, my plan is to focus each day on 5 things that I'm grateful for and focus on more positive thinking. I know it sounds hokey but give it a try!
