my first pregnancy was high-risk due to pre-term labor. I was on bed rest from 27 weeks on...What are the odds of me having a second pregnancy the same? Im 7 weeks pregnant, but havent had my first appointment yet.
I would say they will probably want to keep an eye on you. Maybe consider paging PurplePuggles on the Eco Friendly Family board. She had a preemie son at around 27 weeks, and just recently had a full-term daughter. She might be able to answer better, or the High Risk board too.
I would imagine the docs would keep a closer watch on you. I had my son at 30 weeks due to pre-e and I'm considered high risk this time around. My chances of getting pre-e again are about 20-25%.
Do they know why you went into pre-term labor? I had my daughter just shy of 35 weeks and my RE has warned me they will probably label me high risk this time around as they don't know what caused me to go into labor so they can't say that I've eliminated all my risk factors. If your premature labor was caused by something that has since been eliminated they'll probably monitor you more closely but won't label you as high risk. Here's hoping these are the babies we carry to 38 weeks!
