Acupuncture after IF?

Hey girls!  I did acupuncture every other week for six months leading up to our fourth and final IVF, but now that I'm early on in this pregnancy, I'm not sure if I should start back up again?  I originally did it to make sure I was getting proper blood flow to my uterus to help produce the best eggs possible, but would it be wise to continue going now that a pregnancy was achieved, or just let my body take care of the rest on it's own?  Oppinions please!

I was going twice a week during treatment. I continued going twice a week through my first trimester. I now go once a week. My acupuncturist feels going to her will keep the babies in as long as possible. However, I would talk to yours to see how s/he feels.

I did acu for the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy, once a week. It helped with m/s, staying calm and relaxed during the "scary time" and it's supposed to help with blood flow and keeping the baby sticky (although such statements automatically make me skeptical).

I would say if you have the means to go to acu, it can't hurt.

Acupuncture can also help with pregnancy symptoms/morning sickness/etc.

I'm still going, although at this point, i'm only going once a month.

My acu recommends continuing weekly until week 9 of pregnancy for miscarriage prevention and to help with m/s, fatigue, etc.  All things PPs mentioned.

Although I've been going too sporadically this pg, I continued with my sessions throughout my pg with DD.  I had planned to stop since they weren't cheap (I had been doing it for a year already), but I had enough symptoms that I wanted some relief, and it did help.  As long as you 100% trust your acupuncturist, it can only help!

I went weekly during my first tri, and then moved to going once every 4 weeks. It has helped a lot in terms of heartburn and leg cramps. I am hoping it helps with my placenta previa (we will see on October 8th).

I wondered the same thing, but went back after I had a perigestational bleed. My acupunturist thought he could get the bleed to diminish and it's now gone.

He does the "happy pregnancy" needle setup. It's supposed to help m/s and get all the organs working clearly I'm still going when my schedule allows

I went once a week through this last round of treatment and plan to continue weekly until 1st tri is over and then switch to a bi-weekly basis.

I had been going once a week for a long time - since right before my first RE appointment.

I kept going every other week during the first tri, but it got a little uncomfortable to have to lay in one position for an hour so I stopped at about 14 weeks.

your treatments were an HOUR?! Mine are never longer than 25 minutes.

My acupuncturist recommends treatment once a week for the first trimester to prevent miscarriage.
