Does anyone use these? I have regular covers, but I've been considering buying some wool soakers when we up our stash for Baby #2. Any tips, comments, like, or dislikes?
I made a few. I bought a few. I love the soakers that LittleFriendsbySarah makes on Etsy. I want some more longies, and am willing to buy as I don't have time to knit some right now.
The soakers I got on Etsy aren't that expensive, but longies tend to be. But I'm almost the point I'm willing to break down to get a nice pair or 2 ::blushes::

Love these, too!
Also, Dr. Loretta...I don't know if you saw the pair of pink striped longies that were in her shop for like a day but I ordered them! LOL! So cute, I can't wait until they get here and it's cool enough out for DD to wear them!
I loved wool soakers on DD when she was in diapers! She was a super soaker, and wool worked so much better than PUL for preventing leaks. Plus, it was so cute under skirts/dresses!
I didn't love wool as much on DS when he was a newborn. Pull-on soakers and longies were a PITA to put on -- I preferred a wrap-style cover and pajamas. Also, his whole diaper area got really pink whenever he wore wool. It was very odd, but it happened multiple times, and always stopped when I took the wool off. In addition, the wool often felt damp on the outside, I think because as a newborn, he wasn't moving around that much and was therefore much more prone to compression leaking.
But I decided to give it another shot. I sewed a really cute wrap (aplix closure) a few weeks ago out of an old wool skirt, and it's working great -- wraps work much better than pull-on soakers for him right now. He's worn it for hours on end, with no sign of the pinkness returning.
I've got a ton of old sweaters just waiting to be recycled into soakers and longies. I'm hoping that by the time the weather turns cool, he'll be standing well enough to make pull-on stuff more of an option!
Mommy to DD1 (June 2007), DS (January 2010), DD2 (July 2012), and The Next One (EDD 3/31/2015)
Yes, love them. The first one we ever tried was a stacinator and I loved it, but didn't have $25 dollars to spend on each additional one so I made a bunch out of recycled sweaters. I've tried making longies since it's getting chilly at night now but I realized that I'm horrible at at making them...correct inseam, rise, waist, etc then getting the leg lengths even, arghh! ...so I've purchased a few on spots for great deals Wool is my favorite diaper cover!

So, you're basically saying that they're so awesome that the price is worth it? lol
Thanks!
My DH loves wool, if that says anything. He thinks her butt "breathes" better in them. :oD
I have a couple of knit ones, 2 stacinators (which are now too small since they're NB size), and 2 imse vimse wool covers.
Love these, too!
