Pregnant after IF

movement questions

First off, I have an anterior placenta but is it normal for me to still only be feeling movement on and off?  Like some days I feel a ton and others not much.  I really didn't feel much yesterday but had a lot of movement on Friday and Saturday.  I think I even felt it on the outside on Friday.

I have an appointment on Wednesday but I wanted your thoughts.

Thanks girls!

Re: movement questions

  • This early on, I think that's normal.  There's too much room to move around still, I think.

  • I go DAYS without feeling movement sometimes still, and I've been feeling movement since 13 weeks.  It scares me but I know I can't freak out and go to the docs everytime I don't feel movement.

  • ps-  if you were 30 weeks, I'd be worried, but at 20, I'm not.
  • You are so, so early.  I didn't feel a single movement with my DD (anteriour placenta) until 24 weeks.  It wasn't regular until 26-28.

Even with my second pregnancy, neither anterior placentas - it was not consistent at 20 weeks.

And yes - ditto to that.  If you were 28 weeks, I would say you need to go to L&D to get checked out.  But at 20 this is very normal!

  • Thanks girls!  I just don't know what normal is :)
  • I think my OB was concerned with consistent movement around 28 weeks. I think at this stage in the game movement may not be totally consistent.
