Need Advice on CD's

I am planning on CDing, but this is my first baby and I do not know the best CD brand. I am looking at Bum Genius, does anyone else use Bum Genius?

  • I wouldn't say there's a "best" brand.  Different things work better for different babies.  Bum Genius is def one of the more popular.  We use them, along with several other brands, and love them.

  • There are places where you can do a cloth diaper trial - that might be a good idea for you (I think one place is jilliandrawers or something like that).   We use gdiapers (and like them with gcloth) - they have starter packs for something like $30.

This.  Jillian's Drawers does do a trial.  In general, it's better not to sink a lot of money into one type of CD in case you end up not liking it, or it doesn't work well for your LO.  For example, some babies have a sensitivity to the microsuede used in BGs (this is not a problem for us, and about half our pocket stash is BGs).  Also, you may end up preferring a different diaper system - prefolds, fitteds, or AIOs.  Anyway, maybe get a few BGs and then a few other types of diapers and see what works best for you.
