I know a little girl named Blake, and I thought that was bad (I don't care for it for a boy, either).

Blakeley sounds like a childish NN for Blake. It also looks ridiculous spelled out.

My niece is named Blakeley and I think it's a pretty name. She gets lots of compliments and it fits her well.

I get the impression that the majority of people that frequently post on this site prefer traditional names but just because something isn't traditional doesn't mean it's a terrible name. To each their own.

I taught an 8th grader with this name last year. She spelled it Blakely. It grew on me probably because she was such a great kid, but it's nms.

I know of a Blakely and I think it's really cute.  It's a family name for them.

I think it's awful. I don't like the name Blake at all (even for boys), I hate the spelling, and it is very awkward to say.

Better than some names, perhaps, but this gets from me.

It looks like an attempt to feminize the name, Blake. I don't care for it...it's made up, and to me it's, visually, a mess.
