DH's unemployed friend who still lives with parents is going to be a dad... (vent)

and DH couldn't understand why I wasn't happy for him when I heard the news last night.  I tried to explain to DH is that I want people to get their *** together before they have kids... which is an attitude I had even before all this IF business.

PS--friend is not unemployed due to the economy.  He's a smart guy but keeps quitting jobs and saying things like "9-5 isn't for me" and "I'm waiting for the right opportunity", which is okay when you are 22, but less okay when you are 32.

I totally understand that. It's like people who think that having a baby will "fix" their relationship.

What's the deal with the mother? I hope at least one of them has their sh*t together!
