Cloth Diapering

Rockin Green Users need help

I oredered some samples of rockin green in a few different scents, and types to see what would work best for us. I expected the diapers to smell like the scent after they were washed. So far no luck. Is this normal? If so what is the purpose of the scent?

Re: Rockin Green Users need help

  • You don't want the scent left behind after the wash. The fact that no scent gets left behind tells you that you've rinsed well enough. You don't want a detergent that leaves build up.

The purpose of the scent is just to smell good before, I guess.

fwiw i love rockin green.  i switched from planet when it was building up on our diapers, causing major ammonia problems.  i use the hard rock formula and it has been a life saver :)

  • Ditto. YOu don't want the scent left behind.  Thats the problem with regular scented detergents.  They leave a buildup and thats what you smell.  Build up will cause your diapers to leak.  I guess the scent is just to smell when you put it in the wash.  I love my RnG!

  • On the back of the packaging, it tell you that smelling the delicious scent is the first step to washing with Rockin Green.  lol.  That's the only purpose.  I LOVE that detergent.
