Facewash/acne treatment ?

I have noticed in the past couple days since my BFP that my skin is starting to break out a little bit (joy!).  What kind of facewash and spot treatment are you ladies using?  Before the BFP I used Garnier Nutritioniste wash and Clearasil spot treatment.  I have read that salycilic (sp?) acid is not safe, but are there any other ingredients I should watch out for?

Any suggestions?

I use proactive and there was a coupon in the stuff they gave me at the ob's so I assume it's okay. Except the refining mask.

I would check about Benzol Peroxide. If that stuff is good to go, then you can find that as the acne fighting ingredient in a ton of stuff at the store. I used it as a teen and it was good stuff- just check to make sure that it's ok!

I've been using Cetaphil Antibacterial Bar (the bar not the liquid stuff) every morning. My skin looks better than it ever has.

Where can you find tea tree oil?

I found it at our grocery store (Giant Eagle) in the natural products aisle.

I use Origins products from Macy's. If you live in a bigger city you might have an Origins store or outlet. Everything is all natural. I used to have regular breakouts that were pretty horrible before BFP when I was using products like Neutrogena and Clinique, but my skin cleared right up when I started using Origins. Even now, I haven't had any problems.

I use oil of olay facial scrub with salycic acid (safe topically during pregnancy, but not peels or orally) and a few drops of tea tree oil in it. I also use the tea tree oil for spot treatments if I get a big pimple. For the left over scars, a few drops of vitamin E oil on them.

Another nestie recommended dial sop of all things!  (the gold kind)  I got it b/c my face has been horrible since getting my bfp.  It is cheap and worked awesome!

When i went off the pill, my skin started breaking out,  I switched over to Avalon Vitamin C facial wash (i got it at Whole Foods).  It helped a lot! And it smells pretty good too

Cetaphil has worked wonders for me, personally. Plus, it's cheap (I'd be willing to spend money if I had to, but this works so well).
