That really varies. It depends on who you're using, what their average wait times are, what programs you're in (Caucasian vs AA/biracial), how open you are to certain situations, etc. Our agency wouldn't even give us an average, because the wait could be 2 days or 2 years. The birthparents pick the adoptive family based on a host of factors.
Not heard of them. We used American Adoptions (AA) out of KS. Loved them.
Home study costs for us: Around $1500 (fees for background checks/finger printing + fee to agency for the home study visits + fees to the social worker for her travel + post placement fees per visit* - this last fee is often not talked about and can sneak up on adoptive families).
We had negative 30 days of wait time.
However, with AA average wait time (was) <6 months for those open to any race and between 9-12 mo for those only open to Caucasian.

Would you be open to talking about your experience with them? I'd love to find out more information-they came up as a recommendation from someone else as well!
Our home study was 1200. That fee was the same for anyone adopting through our agency, it did not vary.
TTC #1 since 12/07
SA 9/08=borderline normal
HSG 1/09 found R tube blocked
Multiple IUIs both with oral and injectible drugs from 2/09-2/11
Started domestic adoption process in 5/10, homestudy complete 9/10
Failed adoption after home with baby for 2 weeks 11/10
Blessed through the miracle of private adoption with a son, born 6/6/11 (his grandma's bday) 7lbs 9oz 20.5 inches long! So worth the wait!
We used a homestudy agency outside of our adoption agency. The homestudy was $1100. We started the homestudy in late Nov 08 and were matched in December of 08...but with our agency you didn't have to have an homestudy complete before being matched.
Re: Average cost of home study?
It varies. Ours was around $1700.
Never heard of them.

gymel@aol.com if you are!
I've never heard of them. Our homestudy was $850, were in WA state.
Our average wait after going active is a year to two years.
