Ugh! My boss just called me to tell me we have a mandatory staff meeting at 7 am tomorrow! I never work mornings b/c dh works mornings and she knows this. So now I have 1 day to find a sitter that is will to show up at 6:30 am and stay for an undetermined amount of time b/c she's not sure how long this meeting will last.  I mean is it really so hard to give a little more notice?! I'm sure I'm more upset about this than I really should be and it's mostly my hormones but it's just hard to get up and get going that early not to mention the m/s I've been dealing w/. Guess I'm mostly mad that she didn't give a little more notice so we could arrange for dh to be off that morning. Okay vent over. Feel free to tell me I'm being a baby and to grow up.

I don't think you are being a baby at all! I would be the same way if it were me in that situation.  Good luck finding a sitter and I hope your meeting is quick and painless.

Yeah, I'd be miffed, too. Sitters are hard to find on short notice; especially on the weekend!

You should let your boss know that you'll have to bring the kids with you since you can't get a sitter at this late date. Then hope they are especialy vocal and antsy once you get there, so they let you go home right away.

You could just tell her m/s was so bad that you couldn't come to the meeting. Or take your kids. Or ask if you could do it via conference call

So I decided I'm just not going. Told her I couldn't get a sitter and dh couldn't rearrange his schedule for it. I did offer to come in for my shift earlier so that maybe should could give me a brief summary of what it was about. She told me well it's so important that everyone be here so we can talk about changes that are being made but if you can't make it then I'll go over it with you later but it won't be till Tuesday till I can do that! So if it's not important enough for you to go over with me right away is it really so important that everyone come in for a last minute meeting on Sat. morning? GAH!  I've decided I'm just going to enjoy my Sat. morning and not worry about her and her craziness she tell me about when she does and in the meantime I figure things out on my own.
