I was admitted on Tuesday. Everything was fine until a growth scan revealed that Twin A was only 3% on the growth chart and Twin B was 40%. Ultrasounds have revealed nothing: perfect fluid levels, cord flow, and placenta. My life consists of this hospital bed, nurses, 14 tv channels, fetal monitoring for 2-4 hours a day depending on if the twins behave, and bad hospital food. It is AWESOME.
I won't know anything until September 17th
when they do the next growth scan. They need two full weeks. So until
then, I sit here. Any T&P's you can muster that twin A grows some
and the disparity reduces. Then I will be able to go home and be on
bed rest. I would prefer to be sitting at home on my couch or my bed.
Re: In the Hospital Loving Life, NOT
Oh that sounds miserable. Grow baby A! Grow!
Did they say why the bedrest? Does it help with growth?
They want to take all the variables out of it. I am in the hospital so the can do fetal monitoring and ultrasounds. The bedrest is to improve blood flow to the placenta and cord. But all my tests have showed perfect blood flow. So it is what it is. I just know I am going stir crazy!
That sucks. I'm so sorry. I hope the bedrest helps and Baby A catches up pronto!
