I think I'm getting a chest cold =(

I looked up things to take on web MD, but nothing really fits my description...

Any suggestions?

I can't explain it, but I feel like I have an infection...  like, it's something I would take antibiotic for...

See a doctor.  I have bronchitis (for the second time in 2 weeks), got an antibiotic shot and antibiotic pills

With my colds while pregnant I took regular Tylenol (not Cold) and Mucinex.  Mostly I just slept, drank lots of fluids, and suffered.  Feel better!

Wow... your doctor will call in antibiotics without seeing you? That's odd.

Anyway, if you talk to a pharmacist, you can ask what's safe. I have a terrible chest cold, but didn't need antibiotics. I ended up with a steriod inhaler, ventalin, and some Rx narcotic cough syrup - all safe. The cough syrup was a godsend to get a couple night's sleep. I'm feeling so much better now.
