I worked with the nicest woman named Corinne, NN Corrie. I also worked with another great woman whose name was just Corrie. I grew to love the NN Corrie for a girl, and I think Corinne is a lovely and feminine full name to grow into.
I would like to give my opinion on the name. As a kid I HATED, LOATHED, DETESTED the name. My mother decided to spell my name Korrine. No one could ever pronounce it or spell it correctly. My family nicknamed me Korri and they were the only ones that were able to call me that because I thought it was too boy sounding. I had 3 older brothers and was the baby girl. Everyone knew my brothers and heard them talk about "Korri" they automatically thought a boy. I always wished I had more a "girly" name.
I did grow to like my name but not until a teenager. No one calls me Korri anymore expect my grandma. I still dislike having to spell my first name and my last name now as it is sort of common but there are 12 thousand spellings for the Schaefer and we have one of the uncommon ones. My maiden name was an uncommon name and I constantly had to spell that also. My mother also blessed me with the middle name of Michele and she couldn't even spell that correctly.
I swore up and down that I wouldn't do that to my child. Unfortunately, DH has the exact same initials as I do, we decided to give our child the same ones. We were team green and came up with the name Kyle Matthew even before we were pg-until BIL and SIL decided to name their son Kyle 6 1/2 months before DS was born. So we looked at other ones and saw Kalvin. I didn't want to stick him with spelling his first name and his last name for the rest of his life but we just couldn't come up with other K names that we liked as much as Kalvin. All of the males in DH's family are named with K's, the females in my family all had K.M. names so we didn't want to screw with karma. Now MIL did come up with some doozies like Kirby or Kilo...yes Kilo. She doesn't like the name Kalvin.
I honestly didn't know there were so many people that liked my name. It makes me feel proud to have it. I wanted a more popular name as a kid but I do appreciate the uniqueness of it. I think that's why I love DS's name, it's unique. You don't hear of Calvin that much and especially not his spelling.
Sorry no paragraphs, bumping from my phone.

It is my MIL's middle name but she uses it rather than her first name. It is also the middle name for both of her daughters. I think it is pretty.
I love the name, it's classic/timeless.
I have a two friends named Corinne but one spells it Corrine.
