I was just diagnosed with the C677T mutation of MTHFR and I was told I will have to take Lovenox everyday if I get pregnant - they put me on B6 and B12 vitamins - just wondering if there is any success story out there. Is there hope that I will still have a child one day??

Re: Any Success Stories with MTHFR - please come in!!
I just posted on your thread on IF - I have MTHFR as well as azoospermia and I am a success story...well so far I am 20w8d with twins.
GOOD LUCK!!!!
I just responded to your IF post
I am 10w1d with twins, so the combination of Lovenox and B vitamins can definitely be helpful.
I have 2 MTHFR mutations as well as Factor V and so far, so good for me
I also take lovenox daily.
There is a girl who used to frequent the boards here named Sara who thought she was "unexplained" until they found that she had MTHFR a month before her first IVF. i may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I rememer them putting her on the vitamins they put you on and baby asprin (or some simular combination)...and she was pregnant one month later and didn't even need to do the IVF!
I know your dealing with MFI (like me) so it's a bit different, but still...I know so many girls who have a blood clotting disorder and go on to have very healthy babies!
So far, I'm a "success".
I'm heterozygous MTHFR. My sister is as well and so is my mother. They did not have any difficulties conceiving, history of miscarriage or pregnancy complications. I was put on lovenox as soon as I started stims for my IVF cycle and started again when I started PIO/estradiol because I do have a history of DVT while on BCP's. Unfortunately I got PE's early in this pregnancy and was switched to a different blood thinner. I will stay on this blood thinner until 2 months post-delivery.
Luckily, I'm under the care of a very pro-active hematologist who specializes in clotting disorders in pregnant women. Check out the high risk board as well. There are lots of success stories there too. Good luck!
