1st ultrasound today!

we had our 1 st ultrasound today. The baby measured 8 weeks which is a bit big but my ob said still in the range of normal. Also so a good strong heart beat! However, he found 3 small cysts on one of my ovaries. He doesn't think they're anything to worry about and that they will go away on their own. So has anyone else has an ovarian cyst while pg? Just wondering what might happen if they don't go away on their own. I've never had an ovarian cyst before so don't really know what is done about them. He is having me come back in 2 weeks for another u/s to check on them.

I had a cyst when pregnant with ds - it dissolved on it's own and wasn't an issue.

I'm Polycystic (PCOS) and my RE told me not to worry about it because they rarely get large enough to be an issue and will frequently just resolve themselves.

Thanks for the reassurance. My I'm trying not to be too concerned as my ob didn't act like it was a big deal at all. I completely trust him so I'll just wait 2 weeks and see what happens.

Congratulations! My sister told me she had multiple cysts during the length of her pregnancy, but never had to do anything about them. H&H9mo!

I'm pretty sure everyone has a cyst when they're pregnant. From what the u/s tech explained, when you ovulate, its like one of those cysts bursting to let out an egg. Since youre not ovulating, they stick around for a bit. I have one, I'm not sure if more than one is still considered normal, but I'm sure they'd tell you if its a problem.
