Rib pain??

I don't remember this happening to me with Abraham. I have the most HORRIBLE rib pain on my right side. Every time I take a deep breath, or really breathe in general, it feels like my rib cage is going to pop open. It's horrible. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know why??

 Thanks!

Re: Rib pain??

  • when i was pg with mady she was lodged in a position where her legs were compressing against my ribs. i had that pain for about 3 days. it wasnt HORRIBLE pain but it was quite uncomfortable.

do you think it could be "un aire"...that could be it too if its hard for you to catch your breath. if you feel its that bad contact your dr.

  • I had some rib pain as well with this last pregnancy!! There's lots of extra stuff going on in there and it puts a strain, especially if you do certain movements or lift something heavy (aka Abraham). heehee  I agree, let your doc know! ?Hope it goes away soon, it's no fun having those aches/pain.

  • Thanks! I knew it wasn't "un aire" because it lasted too long. It finally went away after I drank water and laid down. The nurse told me it could be the baby and to lay on the opposite side and if it got worse to go to triage. I hope it doesn't come back, I thought it might be the baby, but I remember Abraham used to get there all the time and it was never as bad as today's pain. Thanks again:)
