Babies: 9 - 12 Months

If you live in the Mesa, AZ area...

DH, DS and I are going to visit DH's g-rents in a few weeks since they can't travel anymore.  We are looking for something fun/touristy to do for one of the days (morning or afternoon) we are there.  About an hour drive max since we only really have two days with them.

  • I'm in Mesa right now, lol. There's the Sea Life Aquarium and Arizona Mills (mall) close by (in Tempe), or Chandler Fashion Center (Chandler), and there's a few good restaurants in Gilbert (downtown). That's all I can think of right now. :)

  • Well it's disgustingly hot there so I would stick to indoors, yes it's even hot in September/October

  • You can try the Phoenix zoo which little ones like a lot. If you go in the morning it might not be super hot, just check the weather before you go. Also, I can't think of the name but there is a baby splash park in Mesa which your LO should like. Google it. I wasn't impressed by the aquarium in the Arizona Mills so I don't rec it but you can always try it.

it was only 72 this morning!!  i was chilled during our run, LOL.

i agree with the zoo if you go in the morning.  there is a little park next to it with some trails...one of the trails goes up to a little cave (you will see it, its called "Hole in the Rock" because it is an actual hole up in a rock).  It takes like 1 minute to climb the trail but the view from the hole is pretty awesome.
