If you live in the Mesa, AZ area...

DH, DS and I are going to visit DH's g-rents in a few weeks since they can't travel anymore.  We are looking for something fun/touristy to do for one of the days (morning or afternoon) we are there.  About an hour drive max since we only really have two days with them.

    I'm in Mesa right now, lol. There's the Sea Life Aquarium and Arizona Mills (mall) close by (in Tempe), or Chandler Fashion Center (Chandler), and there's a few good restaurants in Gilbert (downtown). That's all I can think of right now. :)

    Well it's disgustingly hot there so I would stick to indoors, yes it's even hot in September/October

    You can try the Phoenix zoo which little ones like a lot. If you go in the morning it might not be super hot, just check the weather before you go. Also, I can't think of the name but there is a baby splash park in Mesa which your LO should like. Google it. I wasn't impressed by the aquarium in the Arizona Mills so I don't rec it but you can always try it.

    it was only 72 this morning!!  i was chilled during our run, LOL.

    i agree with the zoo if you go in the morning.  there is a little park next to it with some trails...one of the trails goes up to a little cave (you will see it, its called "Hole in the Rock" because it is an actual hole up in a rock).  It takes like 1 minute to climb the trail but the view from the hole is pretty awesome.
