anyone else NOT finding out the gender ahead of time? i thought i would care, but i honestly don't, i just want a healthy happy baby! almost two weeks til NT scan, seems like another eternity.
i'm letting DH decide! ball is totally in his court! i think the decision means more to him and i think its kind of a special way for him to take some control over the pregnancy, you know? i dont really care whether we find out or not!
We won't be finding out. I've always dreamt of DH walking through the double doors and telling everyone "It's a ___!!" Sure it's inconvinet for shopping, and makes things difficult to pick out but it's something I want. When I was at the woman's ER (which is right next to L&D) we were looking at the double doors talking about it again and we both got really excited. It's totally cheesy, and cliche, and movie-like but it's something we want...
I didn't want to find out to begin with, but DH was totally against not finding out. It's not that big of a deal to me, so we're finding out. Now I'm glad we'll know because I've decided I just don't like green and yellow all that much.

I also want a healthy baby and that is overall important...but I just need to know the gender as well....lol. I can't wait until the day he or she comes out
Not finding out- I think its the one miraculous surprise in life that no one can ruin for you. I am natorious for finding out surprises, so rarely am I actually surprised. We just want a healthy happy baby. We have our suspicions on what it will be, but we truely won't know till That day in March when they make their appearance into the world.

I think everybody thinks the same way but finding the gender is like an extra coat of sugar It makes it fun I guess to start thinking about the future.
We're not finding out the sex. I have always imagined the best part of giving birth is the surprise of finding out afterwards. And announcing to everyone . I have heard several of my friends say recently that they sort of regret finding out bc they were a little bummed out for a little that it wasn't the other sex - that you sort of grieve - bc you have so much time to think about it. And when the baby is already here, you are too happy to grieve that it was not the other sex.

We aren't with this LO but did w/ DS. It was neat to find out with him b/c he was our first but I really have no preferences w/ this LO and think it will be amazing for DH to announce what it is when its born!
I really want to know! I feel like it will help me connect even more to the baby if I know ahead of time whether it's a boy or a girl. I can start preparing his/her room & dreaming of the things we'll do together & calling him/her by name. It's also very practical, but I can see why not knowing ahead of time would be exciting! I just don't think I could stand not knowing :-)
