Hi guys,
I'm starting to freak out a little b/c DD's 1st b-day is only 2 weeks away and I feel like I have nothing planned. All I know, is I am having it at a park, I know what colors I want to incorporate (pink, green & brown) and I want to have kind of a 'monkey' theme (invites were sent out yesterday). Besides DD, there will be my other daughter (4) and one other girl (2). Other than that, it's pretty much all adults. I feel like I should have something planned as far as entertainment or games or something...will it be awkward if everyone just comes and eats some snacks...then we have cake? Any suggestions? I want to have a good party, but I'm so stressed at work right now, it's really cramping my creative side!
TIA!!!!

Re: 1st Birthday Party- NEED IDEAS!
DD's party is this Sunday and we're having it at a park as well. We're having approx. 33 kids ranging from 0-15 so we are planning to provide a variety of activities. The park was formerly a farm so there are still barn animals there that the kids can go check out as well as a huge playground right in front of our picnic area. We'll also have bubbles, tubs of park toys (frisbees, hula hoop, etc.), a face painter for 2 hours, and a candy table where they can decorate a small bag and then fill it up with little trinkets and wrapped candy. For the adults, if it's permissible we may put up a volleyball net but that's about it. Every family party is always like a giant reunion so people are pretty content just hanging out and catching up with each other.
Since you don't have very many kids I don't think you need to do much and it also depends on how long your party is. If you plan on only having, say, a 2 hour party than some bubbles and maybe coloring books might suffice. If it's going to be longer you might want to consider one game. For example, you can get monkeys and hide them around the park (in obvious place, of course) and have the kids look for them.
