I have 3D/4D u/s every time I go to my OB. They switch from 2d (for measurements) to 4D (motion) and take pictures for us in 3D (which is a still of the 4D motion images).
It's the same as a 2D u/s in terms of what they can see and get to
We had it at our n/t scan. Similar scenario to niki's. The pics are awesome!

I have 3D/4D u/s every time I go to my OB. They switch from 2d (for measurements) to 4D (motion) and take pictures for us in 3D (which is a still of the 4D motion images).
Every u/s I had at my RE's office was first in 2D and then switched to 3D for pictures. I am under the assumption that it will be the same at my OB's, and once they start moving, 4D will be added.

Ditto this! At all my growth scans (every 4 weeks) we take a quick peek at their precious faces in 3D/4D. I suspect as they get bigger, it will be harder to see them.
