What are the thoughts on Maci and Ryan (Custody)

I don't think Ryan deserves more time with Bentley. Honestly he has shown ZERO interest in him from day one. I think the only reason he wants more time is because his new GF wants to play mommy and his parents want more time. I feel like if Maci continues to honor the agreement of his weekend and wednesdays. It should not be a problem with her moving. 

 

If I was Maci I would move 99 miles away just to spite Ryan

LOL at moving 99 miles away. When Ryan was at the lawyer and he said Bentley's birthday, I realized he had the same birthday as my LO. (A year older, of course.) I think what he's doing to Maci is crap. But it sounds like, from the magazine article, that she stays in town so I wonder how it's going to end up.

Which magazine? I read in USweekly that her and Bently moved in with Kyle and it was a great summer. She was quoted saying "Bentley now has two daddies, Kyle and Ryan"

I don't think that Ryan is going to be serving as a poster dad anytime soon, but I don't think he's awful to Bentley. I am a child of divorced parents and of a dad who did some f-ed up with child support just to piss off my mom, but my mom never denied me having a relationship with him. Like Ryan, he was not great at expressing his feelings either, but he was in no way abusive, and I can't imagine how heartbroken/angry I'd be if my mom had denied me that b/c I have great childhood memories with him and he picked up the slack a lot later in life.

I do think it really stinks for Ryan's parents, though.  They seem like normal, decent people.  I just know that (heaven forbid) if Richard ever knocked up a girl at 16 years old, I would be heartbroken if she moved away and I hardly ever got to see my grandchild.

Not necessarily saying Ryan deserves more time (he has always been a DB and a rotten dad), but the situation sucks all around for everyone.

I LOL when he was complaining that he was going to spend $80,000 in child support......that's nothing compared to what Maci and her parents are probably spending!!! HA And I was thinking today.....after watching the show his parents must be like WTF did I do wrong. I would be so ashamed if my son acted like a DB like that and he certainly wouldn't have his new gf sleeping in his bed in my house! I don't care how old he is

I agree with Maci that Bentley needs to have a stable "home" (e.g. one place to stay more consistently).  But I think they could come up with something more creative so that Ryan can spend more time with Bentley. 

I think that $80K over 18 years is quite the deal.  As a former single mom (and custodial parent) I bet I have spent at least that in just the last 8 years.

Amen. If my son knocked up one girl, didn't fulfill his obligations as a father to that child, there would be no way he'd be having his new girlfriend in my home overnight- I'd kick his butt out before I let that happen.

If he wants overnight visits, he can work his butt off to pay his child support AND be able to afford his own place. Then he can have overnight visits with his gf.
