Intercourse after finding out we're pregnant...

Hello!

I am 7 weeks pregnant and last night DH and I had intercourse for the first time since we found out. (We've been scared to mess something up!)

This morning I have normal discharge after "said act" however there is a very light brown slightly through out it. (Very small amount) No other symptoms besides morning sickness...

Should I be worried? Anyone else had this happen?

  • I have heard this is normal but we have not braved it yet.  I am a little scared.

  • Brown/pink tinged discharge is normal in early pregnancy, whether you just had sex or not.

  • I had the same thing right around when I should have been ovulating.  I bled during my first ultrasound.  Doctor said it was completely normal.
  • I am 10 weeks pregnant and i havent ran into any problems with me and my husband  having intercourse.
  • my baby is due on april 3, 2011

  • You probably just irritated your cervix. So long as it isn't bright red and accompanied by cramps it's just something that can happen after sex.

    This!

I've heard it's normal to get discharge but I am too scared to attempt it. I want to wait till I have my first visit with the doctor/ultrasound to make sure everything is ok and get the green light.

  • Thanks everyone!

I am just extremely cautious because three months ago we had an ectopic pregnancy and have been trying for 3 years with fertility treatment.

It is definately not red and is very minimal... so your responses have been reassuring.

We had an ultra sound at 6 weeks and heard the heart beat and saw the little peanut... so that helps too. :)

The only cramps I have had are from bowl movement issues... at least I think. It certainly is nothing like the ectopic cramps or period cramps.
