Low white blood cell count?

I took DD in for her 9 mo checkup about two weeks ago. Her pedi ran a full CBC on her (normal for all 9 mo checkups I'm told), specifically to check for anemia. She is not anemic, but does have a very low white blood cell count. Her pedi said that it could have been viral, but she wasn't sick- and she would have had to have been pretty sick for a count that low. I took DD in yesterday for a re-check and I'll be getting results later on this afternoon. Anyone else experience this? What caused your LO's low white blood cell count? The worst case scenario comes back when you google 'low white blood cell count in babies'. Arg.
